Cross-ideological leaders gathering for democratic dialogue

We the People

Advancing American Ideals

What does it actually mean to govern ourselves—now, and in the years ahead?

We the People is a dinner and salon series hosted by Civic Futures Institute, created for leaders who believe the future of American civic life is ours to create. Rooted in the country's founding promise of shared responsibility, these gatherings bring together independent, liberal, and conservative thinkers in deliberately small settings where candor, curiosity, and long-term perspective can take hold—away from the demands of the moment.

These gatherings exist because democracy depends on more than elections; it depends on the habits we practice with one another and the norms we choose to uphold over time. We the People convenes across ideology to examine what must endure, what must change, and how American ideals can be carried forward in a period of deep transition.
